Ent? Or Ent-wife? Found hiding in Iffley Village, Oxford (14 April 2006)
This afternoon, I finally got round to setting my new yes-I’m-a-geek-don’t-mock-me bike computer and took it (and the bike, obviously) out for spin this afternoon. I left the dog at home as not only was she due a rest, but I wanted to see how fast I could go and Snipe, for all that she positively loves the bike, is built for comfort, not speed.
If you ignore the fact that it was my maximum speed, not average, and that I was going downhill at the time, I think that 27.2 mph is a respectable speed to have hit. My overall average was 11.2 mph and I cycled 6.91 miles in 36.57 minutes.
(Spreadsheet? What spreadsheet? I blame that Town Mouse…)
quite respectable indeed!
Try logging your routes on http://www.bikeley.com!
Hitting the pavement at 27.2 miles per hour can be very interesting as well!!! Be careful Jo Racer, or we’ll change that to Road Rash Jo instead.
Glad you had fun,
AJ
