It has been a funny old week. Long. Exhausting. But sunny. Lots of sun. I’ve even got a mild tan. And have made 10 portions of pheasant broth and rabbit stew, with a chicken due to go in the slow cooker tomorrow morning for another 4/5 portions. Oh, and a cake-that-went-wrong. And lots of eggs. And a mild-moderate addiction to eBay, which has resulted in some great new-to-me clothes. Including multiple pairs of cheap jeans, which have been ruthlessly turned into shorts.

Cream Legbar hen (25 March 2011)

Today’s photo is of yet another Cream Legbar hen. Unlike the rest of Ally’s flock, she knew I was only throwing tempting morsels to persuade them to pose for the camera. Torn between her stomach and her brain, I swear she spent her time keeping a very close eye on me. Or am I a little too paranoid?
