I spent much of the morning trying to persuade Snipe to pose for a photo. Snipe had other ideas. She was more than happy to roll on her back and flash her bits or get so close to the camera that I’m sure they’d be considered married in some cultures, but when it came to simply sitting still without crossing her eyes, looking rabid or whacking me with her tail, I was onto a loser.
In the end, I went for an “arty” shot as she eventually wore herself out and settled down in the sun, which made the camera have a hissy fit.
*sigh*

Then, this afternoon, my friend’s toddler whacked me on the back of the head with the ramp for his plastic garage. As you do, when you’re knee-high to nothing and yet another adult is asking you to do what you’re told. I love his parents to bits, even more so after they held firm during the resulting “NO I WON’T APOLOGISE! NO WAY!” tempter tantrum with awe-inspiring composure and patience.
Parents should, I have decided, be heralded in the streets and town halls. Never mind sporting heroes and popular celebrities – let’s hear it for them what wipe snot and potty train!
Nice! Your SX210 is lovely and sharp, too.
Thanks, I’m extremely pleased with it
It’s a lovely one of her even so. I’ve heard of folk who hold a dog biscuit in their camera hand so that the dog looks straight at the lens, but it wouldn’t work with a Labrador!
At least he didn’t bite your nose …
Lovely shot Jo, one of your best!
i love the photo
Thanks, everyone
(And yes, Ally, I take that on board!)
